@somewhatabstractelf - Yes. Difficult! When I was first attracted to know the Creator of the universe, I simply spoke to Him this way: "Creator God, IF You're real and have a plan for my life, please don't let me miss it" Since then I have come to know in my heart that the Creator God exists, and that the Lord Jesus Christ was given to mankind so that we may know Him. I came to know these things because God heard my prayer and knew how difficult it is for me, for anyone, to receive Him. Try it. God will not reject you for honestly asking Him IF He really exists, or IF the Lord Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and now in the Holy Spirit. Ask Him if you may know Him. And He will accept you because the truth is He is calling to you already. If He weren't, you would not find Him "difficult." You wouldn't care about Him at all!
